Occasionally patients will have double or blurred vision for a few days after surgery. There may also be temporary swelling or a slight asymmetry in healing or scarring.
Based on your goals, your surgeon will recommend whether to do all four eyelids or just the upper or lower ones. He/she will also discuss if just fat, or skin and muscle will also be removed. The incisions generally follow the natural lines of your eyelids, in the creases of your upper lids and just below the lashes in the lower lids. There may be additional procedures recommended to get the best results.
