Chemical Peels

A chemical peel is a procedure that removes the top layers of damaged skin. The new cells below form tighter, younger looking skin. There is a wide range of chemical peels available. A free consultation is the best way to determine which peel is recommended to get the results you are looking for.

Chemical peels are most commonly used for:

  • Wrinkled skin
  • Sun damaged skin
  • Blemished skin
  • Acne and acne scarring
  • Melasma, a tan discoloration of a woman’s face

You can expect:

  • Your skin to feel warm, tight and “pulled” for several days. Your skin may or may not peel or flake.
  • Some redness for 2-3 days
  • To avoid sun exposure for 21 days following your procedure to avoid skin discoloration. You will need to use a zinc sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher during and after the peeling process.
