Scott Loewenstein, MD (St. Paul and Woodbury)
Conveniently located to serve the Twin Cities
I became a plastic surgeon because I wanted to use my talent and creativity to improve people’s well-being. After graduating at the top of my class in college and medical school (with AOA and GHHS induction), I completed a full 6-year plastic surgery residency where I cultivated my expertise in the entire scope of the specialty. I then advanced through a yearlong hand & microsurgery fellowship where I refined my skill performing complex plastic surgeries, such as DIEP flaps. I am board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, I have held memberships in the major plastic surgery societies, and I maintain active privileges at most of the major East Metro hospitals.
My plastic surgery interests include breast, body, and face. I enjoy plastic surgery because I can apply my medical expertise, surgical skills, and keen aesthetic sense to improve people’s lives by restoring the form and function to the human body. I am direct and honest with patients about what plastic surgery can achieve, and I take a compassionate approach to sensitive topics. The patient’s experience is important to me, and I am known for performing drain-free surgery and using absorbable stitches whenever possible. I have presented my innovative techniques at numerous national meetings and published dozens of peer-reviewed papers in the plastic surgery journals. Some novel contributions to the field included lymphedema prevention surgery at the time of mastectomy, masculoplasty, and novel approaches to nerve healing. I am honored to have so many patients trust me with their care, and I am committed to working hard for my patients to achieve the best results possible.
