The Arm Lift procedure, also known as Brachioplasty, is a body contouring procedure performed to improve the appearance of the upper arms. The upper arms are a common area for people to struggle with as they get older, particularly if they have lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time, or simply due to getting older and losing elasticity. Excess, sagging skin in the upper arms can be especially frustrating as no amount of diet and exercise can resolve it.
The Arm Lift is performed through an incision that runs along the inside of the upper arms from the elbow to the armpit—in some cases, a smaller incision can be done when there is less to remove and that incision can be made just inside the armpit. Sometimes liposuction is also performed in combination with the Arm Lift if there is also excess, stubborn pockets of fat in the area.
