Arm Lift: Will There Be Noticeable Post-Surgical Marks?

Published on January 5, 2018

The arm lift procedure involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the upper arms. This means that incision will need to be made on the upper arm. Many people are afraid of incisions because they can possibly leave noticeable post-surgical marks.

The amount of skin and fat removed from the arm plays a significant role in how any post-surgical marks appear after you have fully healed. If only a small amount of excess skin and fat needs to be removed, the incision will be limited to the area near the armpit. If a more significant amount of tissue needs to be removed, the incision may extend from the armpit to the elbow. The incision will be made along the back or side of the arm for better aesthetic results.

If you are bothered by the appearance of your upper arms and you believe that an arm lift is your ideal surgical option, contact Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeons to schedule a consultation.
