Jennifer Van Hecke, PA-C
“There is no greater professional achievement than earning the trust of a patient and their family. With every patient encounter I look for opportunities to not only improve outcomes from a Plastic Surgery standpoint but also enrich overall wellness. I take the responsibility of practicing medicine very seriously and am committed to always placing my patient’s best interest paramount. I strive to recognize that most patient’s journeys are not alone and their families play a vital role in the treatment team. My patient’s family’s ideas and concerns are never trivial.”
Jennifer graduated in the top 2% with a Masters degree from the University of North Dakota Physician Assistant program in 2012. Her career in surgical specialties began in Pediatric and Adult Orthopedic Surgery and in 2014 she transitioned into Plastic Surgery. Jennifer credits both the opportunity to practice in a surgical specialty that offers great variety and the ability to work with internally recognized and published Plastic Surgeons as defining factors for the transition.
Van Hecke generally assists Drs Warren Schubert and Cherrie Heinrich, however spends significant time with all of the department’s surgeons. Her professional interests remain in the diagnosis and treatment of maladies of the hand; breast reconstruction; craniofacial traumatic and congenital pathology; and her expanding cosmetic practice.
As an avid bodybuilder and fitness “junkie,” Jennifer places high importance in the promotion of healthy lifestyle. She is often seen in clinic convincing staff to sample her latest Vegan dish or challenging her surgeons to a push-up competition between patients.
